Tested In-House.
Certified Globally.

Every Teknic product passes through our in-house testing facility before it leaves Bengaluru — and our certifications ensure it meets every major international safety standard.

Quality Controlled at
Every Stage

At Teknic, quality is not a final checkpoint — it is built into every stage of manufacturing. From mould design and material selection through to assembly and final electrical testing, every process is controlled to certified procedures.

Our in-house testing laboratory performs electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests aligned to the standards under which our products are certified. This means no third-party delays and full traceability for every batch.

Our ISO 9001 quality management system — accredited by UKAS — governs every process from incoming material inspection to final product despatch.

What We Test In-House

Our Bengaluru facility runs the full battery of tests required under UL-1077, CSA 22.2, EN 60934, and IEC standards for each product family.

Electrical Endurance Testing Switching cycle tests to rated current and voltage. TMS-31 micro switches tested to 10,000 cycle endurance per specification.
Thermal Trip Testing Circuit breakers subjected to overload currents to verify thermal trip points and reset characteristics across the rated range.
Dielectric Strength (Hi-Pot) High-potential withstand tests per UL-1077 and EN 60934 to confirm insulation integrity of finished products.
Contact Resistance Measurement Low-resistance measurement of switch contacts to verify conduction quality and detect surface contamination.
Mechanical Actuating Force Actuation force measurement for micro switches, rocker switches and foot switches to ensure compliance with rated operating force specifications.
Dimensional & Visual Inspection Gauge-based dimensional verification of critical features. Visual inspection for surface quality, marking legibility, and assembly completeness.
Incoming Material Inspection Incoming raw materials and sub-components inspected against approved supplier specifications before entering production.
In-Process Quality Control Process-stage inspection at injection moulding, metal stamping, and sub-assembly to catch non-conformance early, not at final test.

Seven International Approvals

Each certification requires independent product testing, factory audits, and ongoing compliance monitoring. Every one of ours is current and actively maintained.

ISO 9001
Quality Management System
ISO 9001 sets the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems. Certification requires documented processes, measurable quality objectives, risk-based thinking, and regular internal and external audits. Our certification covers the full manufacturing lifecycle — from design input through to customer delivery.
Why it matters to buyers: Demonstrates that our quality system is audited independently — not self-declared. Every product is manufactured under a controlled, documented process.
UKAS
UK Accreditation Service
Our ISO 9001 certification is accredited by UKAS — the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, which is the sole national accreditation body recognised by the UK government. UKAS accreditation means our certification body has itself been independently assessed for technical competence and impartiality.
Why it matters to buyers: UKAS-accredited certification carries the highest international credibility — it is accepted by buyers and regulators globally, including in the UK, EU, and most Commonwealth markets.
Intertek
Total Quality Assurance
Intertek is one of the world's largest testing, inspection, and certification organisations. Intertek certification of Teknic products provides an additional layer of independent quality assurance, recognised across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa where Intertek's mark carries significant market weight.
Why it matters to buyers: Widely recognised across Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Africa. Preferred by buyers who need independent third-party product validation beyond ISO.
UL (Underwriters Laboratories)
UL-1077 — Supplementary Protectors for Use in Electrical Equipment
UL listing is required for electrical components sold in the USA and is widely recognised globally. Our TR-series circuit breakers are listed to UL-1077 (Supplementary Protectors for Use in Electrical Equipment). Micro switches carry UL component recognition. UL listing involves rigorous product testing and annual follow-up factory audits.
Why it matters to buyers: Mandatory for US market access. Required by most North American OEMs as a specification minimum. Internationally recognised as a mark of electrical safety verification.
CSA
CSA 22.2 — Canadian Electrical Code
CSA (Canadian Standards Association) certification to CSA 22.2 is required for electrical components used in equipment sold in Canada. Our circuit breakers (CSA 22.2 No. 235) and micro switches carry CSA certification. CSA certification involves independent product testing and periodic factory follow-up audits.
Why it matters to buyers: Required for Canadian market compliance. CSA and UL certifications together give access to the full North American market. Commonly specified by Canadian OEMs as a minimum requirement.
TÜV
European Safety Mark — Rocker Switches
TÜV (Technischer Überwachungsverein) is the premier European safety certification body. Our rocker switches (RS, TWS, WS-40, WS-50 series) carry TÜV approval, having been independently tested and verified for electrical and mechanical safety to IEC/EN standards. TÜV approval is maintained through regular factory and product audits.
Why it matters to buyers: The TÜV mark is recognised across the EU, UK, and globally. German and European OEMs frequently specify TÜV-approved components as a minimum. Opens access to European appliance, panel, and industrial markets.
VDE
Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik
VDE is the German electrical engineering association whose testing and certification mark is among the most stringent in Europe. VDE approval of Teknic switches indicates that products have been independently tested to the relevant IEC and EN standards by Germany's foremost electrical safety body.
Why it matters to buyers: The VDE mark is one of the most recognised and respected electrical safety marks in Europe. German, Austrian, and Swiss OEMs commonly require VDE certification. Provides access to high-specification European markets that demand the highest safety verification standards.
Every product that leaves our Bengaluru factory has been electrically tested, mechanically verified, and manufactured under an ISO 9001 certified quality management system — accredited by UKAS. That is our commitment to every buyer, in every market.
